My name is Zakariya Ali Sher, my interests include giant insects, spicy curries and obscure literary references. My taste in music tends towards skinny Goth girls chanting in dead tongues. I have a penchant for leopard print and black lace, and I suffer from depression (or, more accurately, a crushing sense of despair). Yes, I’m a little bit Goth, and I’m an American Muslim. I’m running this website as a place to blog about news media and pop culture from an American Muslim perspective. No, I’m not the only such voice, and I never made any claim to be either! Expect to see some music, TV and movie reviews, as well as occaisonal blogs about current topics.
Feel free to read and participate. But I’ll be honest, I don’t have time for racist or intolerant comments. Islamophobes need not apply. Comments making derogatory remarks about Islam, Arabs, South Asians or any other groups will be mocked at the posters expense. People like Robert Spencer, Michelle Mallkin, David Whorowitz, etc. can go sodomize themselves. This is AMERICA! We have freedom of religion and freedom of speech, so if you don’t like what I am doing, then go make your own freaking blog!
